Just started researching REI and learning my markets. Trying to get comfortable with everything as is the wife. Loving the site and all the information it provides.
Hi Tyler, and welcome to BP! I’m a ‘fix and hold’ investor from the Bay Area in CA, and loving it! But you’ll find a variety of every type of investor on the site, and everyone is amazingly helpful. Some pointers for you: The "Learn" link across the top navigation bar has lots of great info, and so do BP members! You can click on the ‘vote’ button if you like someone's post or is helpful, and there are ‘awards’ to earn on your profile. And you can tag people by typing @ before you type their name, then clicking their name at the bottom of the message box. Welcome to the site, and good luck in everything!
@Tyler Weinrich don't forget to try out the pod casts they are very informative and inspiring. You can also set key word alerts for topics or areas of interest like "Oklahoma" Good luck
Welcome to BP. I also invest in the Oklahoma City market. I've found it to be a good market with a good pool of potential tenants. Plenty of property to choose from. There are a lot of good articles and posts on what to watch for when you are starting out on here with lots of lively discussion. Good luck.
Thanks for the welcome! I've been catching up on the podcasts and have some keywords set up which is a pretty cool feature.
Love all the information and people here so far. Trying to lay out a plan and get familiar with working the numbers at this point. I am looking into buy and hold but just trying to nail down the entire strategy. The podcast and forums have been a huge help for this, just need to do some more researching and probably post a question or two to get me rolling.
