Small Landlord — House Hacker — Recovered Wholesaler
Hey everyone — Sam from Buffalo, NY.
Self-managing two doubles in Buffalo NY. Bought the first in 2014 at 20, house-hacked it for three years. Got lucky and bought the double nextdoor off market in 2017, same setup.
Dabbled in wholesaling for a bit — sold the paper on two deals and learned it's not for me. The model works, and I realize there is a place for this type of work, but the incentives felt misaligned in ways I couldn't get comfortable with. Never really felt happy at closing.
Here to learn and connect with other investors. Glad to finally be participating instead of just reading.
