Loran Milliman | Colorado Springs
I've been around commercial real estate my entire life. My family has owned historic downtown commercial buildings in Louisiana for decades, and I spent years helping manage them. Those experiences gave me an appreciation for older buildings, the stories they hold, and the potential they have when someone is willing to invest in them.
Today I'm based in Colorado Springs, where I'm building my own investing journey. While many people have encouraged me to start by house hacking, I keep finding myself drawn back to commercial properties. I love driving around looking for overlooked buildings, researching who owns them, learning their history, and imagining what they could become. I'm still figuring out when to make the leap, but I know that's where my passion lies.
Professionally, my background includes residential real estate and luxury hospitality, which taught me the importance of relationships, service, and paying attention to details that others often miss.
Long term, I hope to revitalize underused commercial properties and eventually create thoughtfully designed, affordable communities where people genuinely enjoy living and connecting with one another.
I've been an avid listener of the BiggerPockets Real Estate Rookie podcast for years, and it's played a huge role in shaping my mindset as I continue learning. Right now I'm focused on commercial real estate, redevelopment, zoning, off-market opportunities, and building relationships with experienced investors.
I'm also hoping to find a mentor who enjoys helping someone eager to learn. If you have experience in commercial real estate, redevelopment, or value-add investing and don't mind sharing your knowledge, I'd love to connect. I'm hardworking, curious, and always willing to put in the effort to learn.
Let's connect if you share a passion for revitalizing communities, preserving great buildings, and creating places that make a lasting impact.
