Hello Everyone,
My name is Tee and I'm new to real estate investing. I'm originally from California, but I've been in Georgia most of my teenage and adult years. I'm an accountant and I work for a local CPA firm. I attended a few GA REIA conventions, workshops, bought guru courses etc. back in 2004/2005, but got side tracked by life and am just now getting back to it. I'm interested in the buy and hold strategy, networking and learning as much as possible. I look forward to hearing from you all.
I suggest going through the forums and working your way up from beginner to intermediate to advanced. The podcasts are a great starting point and will help you get off on the right foot. Find an agent and a lender and don't be afraid to put in the hours!
@Carlton Kohler@Simon W.@Jared Reimer Thank you all for welcoming me. Carlton, I am not a CPA, and I haven't had the chance to work with real estate investor yet. I work for a local CPA firm here in Atlanta. Simon is correct, not all accountants are CPAs, and each business industry has different ways of accounting their business operations. I can definitely answer any general accounting principle questions, but you should consult also with a CPA that specializes in Real Estate.
