Hello bigger pockets community! I am a new investor from the Cobb County area in Georgia just outside of Atlanta. I have my first house under contract and will hopefully be closing next week. If there are any investors from the are that can recommend a great CPA that is familiar with real estate investing and an attorney for creating the proper business entities I would be very appreciative.
Hi Corey, I depend on Ruth at B&B Acounting in Hapeville. She knows RI tax strategy very well. Her staff is great but she is the expert. Her schedule fills up fast so try to book time before tax season.
Congrats @Corey Owen. What are you looking to do with the property? Fix and flip? Buy & Hold? Wholesale it? If you're wholesaling it, you can really just do that in your direct name or assign your agreement to someone else. If you're going to be holding on to it for any amount of time, you should definitely talk to an attorney and accountants to help mitigate your risks and manage taxes.
