Hi, I'm a new member to BP and live in the South Shore of Massachusetts. My investment experience so far has consisted of a fixer upper I bought with a family member in 2006 and sold 2 years later. I'm looking to get back into the business with the buy and hold strategy within Mass. Currently I'm educating myself through books and BP.
I would love to make new contacts with other BP members in my area to talk strategy within our expensive RE market
Welcome! I live down in Westport. It's great to have you on BP. Below is what I send to most new people from Mass.
I am also a new to this world so I will share with you what I am doing to get myself educated:
1)Go pro – No I don’t work for BP, but you get the tools you absolutely need to be successful as a pro member hands down.
2)Listen to every single BP pod cast. So far I am about 110 in and it is exactly the education you need. I listen to them in order from newest to oldest regardless of the topic so I can learn about all angles of this business. It is truly amazing what you can pick up.
3)Take action. Get a goal and go make it happen. Without it you are guaranteed to never make it happen.
4)Don’t take it too seriously – it’s a lot to lean and that is why people never really get in to it.
Hi Mark and welcome. I am a buy and hold investor with 50 units in SE Mass and have done some rehab-holds as well. Also don't live too far away in Humarock. I also agree with Matt above that they best way to learn is with a Pro membership and going through the podcasts. If your like me with these wonderful SE Mass commutes you can probably cover 1-2/day while driving.

@Norm Bessette I live in Marshfield. I grew up spending a lot of time in Humarock. Great little gem in the South Shore! I'm trying to immerse myself into some books now to put some planning in place. I'd love to sit down at some point to chat if you would be open to that
