Hey just seeing if any real estate investors in Okinawa are interested in meeting up to talk real estate. I am about to close on my first rental property in the states, so I am pretty excited and want to bounce investment strategies off of someone.

    Hi @Carl Mccrory, good to meet you. Congratulations on your first closing in the States. Since you mentioned rental property, and since you are in Japan, just wondering if you have considered buying investment property in Japan, and if not, I'd be interested to know your reasons. While property is more likely to appreciate in the U.S., unlike Japan, unless you are looking at Tokyo, the yield is so much higher in Japan, and so much more affordable ($25K to $55k for 7% to 12% yield, net pre-tax). I look forward to your feedback.
