What's up everyone! My name is Marcus. I am 26 years old, a pharmacist, from the North/Central Jersey area. I am a fairly ambitious individual who earned my Doctorate of Pharmacy at 23 years old, started as a staff pharmacist, and was quickly promoted in 11 months to Pharmacist-in-Charge.
With that said, real estate investing has always been on my mind since high school. It is just something that fulfills a certain part of me. Its like that itch that I cannot scratch. I found out about BiggerPockets about a week ago, and I have been reading/studying pretty much on the same level that I did back in school lol.
Currently, I am just trying to learn as much as possible and connecting with great people. I see the potential of real estate and if I can become great at it then I know my world would open up in ways I didn't think were possible not only financially, but mentally as well.

My biggest advice would be as active as possible in the forums, attend the weekly webinars, listen to the podcasts and don't be afraid to ask questions!! Welcome to the site Marcus! Keep reading. Never stop learning! You have so many opportunities l, and young enough to take advantage of so many of them. Don't hesitate. You want a multi family, go FHA yourself into one and house hack the hell out of it. Why are you still reading this? GO!

Welcome! I highly recommend attending multiple networking events, listen to some pod casts, and continue to read. Through those avenues you should begin to see what kind of investing you want to do. Best of luck.

Thanks everyone for the advice and encouragement. Yesterday, I found a local real estate group meeting up next month and will definitely attend. Started 4 podcasts while on a flight, they are very encouraging. Still leaving all options open, but I'm closing in on multifamily unit strategy as my plan.

Once again, thanks for everyone's advice. I ended up finding two local real estate groups and plan on attending both of them within the next month. I haven't been this excited about learning since I took infectious disease therapeutics lol.

Hi All,
I just earned my 30 day award from BP and I just wanted to reminisce back to my first post. Since then, I have attended two local REIA meetings and joined one of them. Talked to my best friend (who is as interested as me) about a partnership. Connected with someone in my area from Biggerpockets exchanged numbers. Listened to about 40 podcasts, 2 audiobooks, started reading the Cash Flow book by Gallenelli, and going to share a cup of coffee with a mortgage lender just for a discussion.
I feel like my world is opening up and knowledge is key. Thanks to all of you for the advice, interesting stories, and most importantly, the warm welcome.
