Hi BP community!
I am a new member and I wanted to introduce myself.
I have 20 years of banking and financial industry experience. I have been doing some REI on the side but now I realize I've made some mistakes I could have avoided doing more research, asking more questions. I have more time now and I want to do this better, so I started to look for some sort of training or seminar... without looking too long, I was offered a seminar at the whooping price of $2K to $20K :(
Before doing anything I searched online and I came across the BP community saying: "Stay out of it!!! Save that money for your next deal. You can learn a lot here and for free" :) I loved it! I signed up for the webinars (which I found super insightful) and last Friday I signed up as PRO because I want full use of the calculators and access to older webinars to continue learning about this fascinating industry.
I look forward to interacting with the community and the only thing that I have some trouble now is that there is so much information I don't know what to read next! Any advice from the more seasoned members would be great!
Good to hear your looking to rock and roll! I highly recommend attending local REI meetings. This could help you grow your network and speak to others who invest successfully.
Also finding a good mentor wouldn't hurt. By attending these events, you might identify a good one who is willing to teach you the ropes.

Welcome @Gabriela Herrera podcasts definitely help and finding a mentor. Mistakes are lessons in process, but help always can prevent them! I definitely believe being a pro member is worth it.

Welcome Gaby! Joining the BP community is definitely a step in the right direction. Since you know you want to do multi family properties, next maybe, you want to get to know the different neighborhoods and decide which area you want to focus on. Would yoube investing in Miami or elsewhere? You mention doing 2 investments in the past. What were they? Condos, SFH or multi?

Welcome to Bigger Pockets! You will learn so much from this website. I think a local mentor is always a great idea to get hands on experience but please take advantage of this community as well.

Thank you @Mehdi Khachani! I want to continue looking in Miami because it's the market I know better. I am venturing out to areas within Miami that are up and coming though... My experience is with condos and my next step will be the natural one I guess which is multi-family :)

Thank you @Christi Hawkins! I don't have enough hours in the day to read all the interesting posts here so I search based on what I need in the moment and so far the wealth of information I have found is stunning! I was able to meet some real estate investors of Miami (not a Bravo reality show yet but I see it coming lol) and hear from them first hand was very insightful. I see great things in the future :)
