My name is Manny Salce and I’m very interested in real estate investing! I initially was interested in house hacking, in the Bronx, NY where I currently reside but potential ROI is currently not worthwhile. I looked around the tristate area and I’m currently searching for properties in PA. I love the podcast so I want to give the forums a try.

If you are looking for buy and hold deals in PA, I would recommend looking at Multi family units in Philly and the surrounding area- Norristown, Germantown, Port Richmond and parts of West Kensington. There are also some parts of Northeast Philly that I usually look at (for cash flow, not appreciation.

@Manuel Salce I think you will find the properties in PA are affordable and a good place to start looking. I assume the Bronx properties are insanely priced. Philly may be closer for you but a little more expensive then the western side of the state near Pittsburgh.

Hey Manny, I would recommend not looking too far from your residence if you can help it since you will need to make many trips to the property. I would consider any towns inside PA (i.e. Allentown...or even think about a college town) older row-home style construction. You can typically find better deals on older structures and still get decent rent for them. I would study several areas to see what would work best for you.
