Investing in Real Estate in Costa Rica
Hello Everyone,
I am a Canadian who bought and held a few rental properties in the Vancouver, BC (Canada) market. I lived in Nicaragua for 6 years where I ran, along with my husband, a very successful motorcycle rental business for many years. Due to the unstable political situation in Nicaragua, we have left and closed our business a few months ago & now live in Costa Rica (Tamarindo).
My husband & I just liquidated some of our assets in the Vancouver, BC market & want to invest here in Costa Rica. We would love to connect with other investors of all types (flippers, wholesalers, buy & hold, etc...) & hopefully be part of a community of investors who support & help each other or even do business together.
I feel as though I can't bring much to the table in terms of Real Estate knowledge at the moment, being new in this area, but I speak 3 languages: French as my 1st language, English as my 2nd & Spanish (not perfectly) as my 3rd & after living 6 years in Nicaragua and successfully running a business, I have learned a lot about living & doing business in Central America... & maybe most importantly, we have cash & we want to invest.
My husband & I are eager to learn & would love to connect with other investors in Costa Rica.
I hope to hear back from some of you!
Pura Vida

Hi @Guylaine Madden In the last year we purchased 3 properties in the Tamarindo area that we have on AirBNB - once we are at empty nest next fall we expect to spend several months a year over there! We are no experts on the area as we've only been a few times for quick trips, but if you need, send me a PM and I can share the names of the people locally who helped us out, who are great.
