New Investor in Tucson, Arizona

Hello BiggerPockets Community! My wife, Stephanie, and I are new investors in the Tucson, AZ area. We are originally from Northern California but have been stationed in Tucson for about 4.5 years now. I am in the USAF and my wife is a Pharmacist. We bought our first house in SE Tucson 3.5 years ago and love home ownership

Like most people, we were inspired after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad so we reached out to our realtor and asked him to help us purchase another home. We are preapproved for a conventional mortgage with 25 percent down. We are looking to buy and hold single families in an area that is very popular with the military community and is in a good school district. We have been looking everyday to find a good deal, but we are not in a hurry. I look forward to interacting with the people on here as we start our real estate investing journey.

Welcome.  As a new investor, I'd highly recommend attending an AZREIA meeting (AZREIA.org), which is a local real estate investors group that has an event on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.  This is a great way to start learning about various ways and areas to invest and also to network.
