Hey, my name is Jairo!

Im a newbie Pro-Member working toward finding my first deal. The dream is to be able to live free of the bindings of the “Employee” through my future investments in rentals. One thing I can say for sure (and I mean this) is that I will not live my future wondering “What if?”. I WILL be investing in real estate in my near future! I AM asking questions (soon here at BP as well!), I AM educating my self, I AM out there trying my best to network, and I AM open to working with anyone. Feel free to reach out if you find any interest in anything I might be doing.

I’m excited and happy to be a part of this community! Let’s see how far we can go helping each other the best we can every step of the way!

Thank you all in advance for taking the time to read my post and accepting me as one of your own!

Hi Jairo!

Welcome! I’m a newbie as well and have been digesting the information here on BP for only about a month (as well as reading books and attending Meetups). I live in the Los Angeles area and am gearing up to do my first deal by December - Preferably a small multi family duplex or triplex. I have a lot to learn in terms of finding and pursing leads and evaluating deals before I make my first offer.

 I am very interested in the area around Hemet but have never had a chance to visit the area. I would love to connect and perhaps grab a coffee and chat about your goals and ask some questions about that particular area.

I don’t have any expertise to offer but would love to meet and network with you.

    @Jairo Castaneda-Gomez

    Welcome!

    How long have you lived in Hemet?

    I’m down in SD.

    @Jason Graves thanks man! I’ve been here in Hemet for a little over a year now. I was living more toward the Murrieta and Temecula side before, but I’ve been in this general area for around 5 years now.

    How’s the market in San Diego?

    @Jairo Castaneda-Gomez, ignore the garbage/spam post above from Jackie. Not sure why that post is not removed yet.

    Anyway, welcome to the site and good luck. Digest all the free podcast and free information you can available on this site and the internet. Then seek out specific questions on BP by searching the topic to see if has already been answered. If not, post away.

    I've looked at buying SFH in Temecula a few times, because housing is cheap (in comparison to coastal SD), but my strategy ultimately is to stay coastal SD with STRs.

    @Nick Foster Thanks man! I appreciate the welcome.

    And yeah Temecula would be a safer bet for me here, but the median price there has definitely gone up. I’ll need to look more into it and see if there are any C’s anywhere near those A’s.

    What are STR's? If you don't mind me asking.

    Good day, Jairo! I'm also a newbie working toward my first deal preferably in the Hemet/Beaumont/Moreno Valley area.

    Welcome to BP. Don't hesitate to set your keyword alerts. This is how I found your post.

    I'm looking to attend my first meet up or REI meeting. It would be great to meet IRL.

    Cheers!

    @Jairo Castaneda-Gomez

    I bought condos back in 2009 and I have been selling in the last 12 months because everything I bought has gone up 100%+.

    It’s just my opinion but I don’t think this is a good time buy in San Diego. I gave up trying to make the #s work because the returns are much better out of state.

    Let me know if you know is a multi family broker in Hemet.

    @Daniel Whitmore Welcome to the side as well! This site has been extremely beneficial to my learning this new venture of mine. Im sure it’s been the same for you as well.

    Unfortunately, I don’t have too much free time since I work a salaried job full time+ and am schooling at the same time, but I have a final here in June and am switching to running a freight crew in July so that’ll open up my entire day. Send me a direct message and we can start a dialogue here.

    @Hunter Adams Welcome as well!

    I will be attending meet ups here soon. I’m just waiting for one to match up with my schedule or for my schedule to open up here in July. It would be great to meet you.

    @Jason Graves You got in on the real deals at the right time man. I’m happy that worked out for you!

    It’s tough to make the numbers work in Cali for the most part already. I’m sure San Diego isn’t making it any easier now.

    We’re in a sellers market right now trying to find the “buyers” deals. And the buyers deals that are out there are being met by a lot of hungry investors. My biggest strengths right now are my patience and my drive. I won’t make a move out of desperation and will only pull the trigger when the numbers make sense.

    And I’ll let you know if I come across any brokerages that deal with multi-family.

    Welcome to Bigger Pockets!

    This is a great place to learn and network. A lot of forum members are very knowledgeable in their respective fields related to real estate investing, whether that is real estate sales, wholesaling, flipping, rentals, lending, self-directed IRA and Solo 401k investing, or tax and legal guidance.

    The site has quite a few tools that can be helpful for new members. I like the search features: https://www.biggerpockets.com/search

    Alerts can be really helpful too: http://www.biggerpockets.com/alerts

    There are a few self-contained guides that you can access here: https://www.biggerpockets.com/guides

    @Jairo Castaneda-Gomez I think what @Nick Foster was referring to regarding STRs was - Short Term Rentals.
