New Member from Tokyo Interested in San Diego

Hello BP Community!  I'm a new member currently living in Tokyo, Japan.  I own one rental property in San Diego, and am looking to expand.

I am still pretty new to real estate investing, so I'm in education mode.  BiggerPockets seems like a great resource and I am looking forward to learning more and networking.

    @Colben S. - Hey Colben.  I'm also a US investor based in Japan (not Tokyo at the moment, although I've lived there before.  

    If you're up for it, there's a monthly face-to-face BiggerPockets Tokyo meetup, that you can find through the Meetups app.  Not sure what's happening during the emergency declaration, but Meetups should be up to date. I used to attend, and while it can very by month, was always beneficial for me.

    Also, would love to chat with you on the phone/vid chat, just to hear about your time here and how you're looking to invest back home.  I don't invest in San Diego, would like to know what draws you there.

    @David Gotsill  Hello Dave, nice to meet you.  I am a bit surprised there is a BP meetup in Tokyo.  I'll check it out. Currently we are still in a 'state of emergency' due to coronavirus and it looks like that will get extended a couple more weeks.  But hopefully soon we will be able to get out and socialize again.
