Hello BP community! Great to have a resource like this. I am a future new investor in Raleigh, NC. New to investing, not to Raleigh. Been here 7 years. Love the area and the way it has grown. Wanting to root my RE adventure here in a serious way, and the best way possible. Any direction or connects from anyone out there? That's great to hear. What my interest is and what I have been studying mostly in this area, is buy and hold small multifamily properties with house hacking. My medium-term goal is to own and rent 10-15 properties in the next 5 years with this method. After that, we will just have to see how things went, but wont limit myself on how far this can go. Short-Term, looking to get my feet wet by househacking a duplex within 6 months. I have an idea of other criteria I would want, but knowing I still have some more research to do, I wont be too specific yet.
I am an NC State employee with some good resources for potential high quality tenants, and knowledge of the area.
