Appliances for your own homes - what do you like?

We are going to replacing our appliances in a house we just bought. Well almost all of them, the refrigerator is brand new and works great. It's this model LG. So I typically like to buy from the same brand so everything kinda matches (in my mind) so I'm looking at LG. But what do you guys like nowadays. I've never had LG but I'm very impressed by this fridge, it is so much better engineered than our last few brands. But what are you buying for your own homes that is kinda sorta high-end? The existing stuff is all Jenn-Air, don't like it at all...

I dislike Frigidaire and will never buy another. I just had to replace a fridge that did not last 3 years. I had another one so problematic that Lowe’s replaced it outside the warranty period. It had quite a few warranted repairs before going out of manufacturer warrantee. Lowe’s was nice enough to refund it even though final issue was after warrantee period. We also experienced issues obtaining parts in reasonable time which is unacceptable especially for refrigerators.

I like GE enough that I seek them out. Aztec appliance house brand is made by GE. I have only had one GE appliance that did not meet my expectations and it was a floor model that unbeknownst to us had been dropped. Figured this out too late to return it. I suspect if you ask repair people, GE would also be their pick.

For washers speed queen is nice.

I have a Bosch dishwasher that I like but it is the only Bosch appliance that we have had. Too small a sample size.

I Have had mixed success with whirlpool (I like duet washer and dryer), Samsung and LG.

I only hear bad things about LG and Samsung. That being said I buy LG and Samsung 90% of the time. The good news for you is the worst stuff they make is refrigerators. (Usually it the ice makers failing and costing more than 60% of a complete replacement. Or a super thin shells that vibrate whenever the compressor kicks in.) In stoves I usually go one up from the cheap ones. (You'll see the grates are much thicker than on the cheap ones.) dishwashers (even though we use it once a month or less.) we simply go with the quietest cheap one. If you need laundry as well, the wife prefers top loaders to prevent the smell that so often accompanies the front loaders. (Though our newest home has an ADU where the laundry is stacked, a first for us. We went with the LG wash tower though we considered the GE all in one unit, it wasn't in stock.)
If you decide to buy a fridge we bought the LG with 2 ice makers and 4 kinds of ice and really like it.

Our last house had the high-end GE line (Slate Series or something) and they were ok.... The Fridge was the weak spot to be honest, but stove and DW were awesome.
Frankly the worst reviews I heard from actual users were from my clients that I built for. Being super wealthy they all had to have Wolf or Sub-Zero or some ridiculously priced appliances ($15,000 fridges and the like). These were constantly having problems and I got the calls. Same story from my Home Inspector friends... they were sure pretty though...

So why am I asking this question I guess...? :-) I think I wanted to hear good stuff about LG. But am I being weird about not wanting to mix brands?

If the property is not class A, I definitely would not worry about not mixing brands. Even if it was class A, I am not sure i would worry about it. In some of my B- to C class, I do not even have matching color on all of the appliances. If I have to purchase new, I match color, but if it is coming from our inventory then they get what I already own.
As indicated, I really like GE. Their lifespan seems to always impress, they need few repairs, and the price is reasonable. I have direct pricing for GE, but the direct price is not noticeably better than big box store sale price and the lead time is sometimes terrible. Because of this I have not used the GE direct sales very often. I had two refrigerators go in the last couple of months (one being the 3 year old Frigidaire). The GE direct sale had a multi week time lead time to provide the refrigerator, so I purchased the made by GE house brand from Aztec appliance (not sure that they are in Arizona).
