Nope they are not a political party. The tea in tea party stands for Taxed Enough Already
I think the Libertarians and Constitutionalists started the Tea Party people of all races and walks of life joined.
Then the Republicans took over (divide and conquer) and the Liberal Media demonized it (NAACP says they are all racist). And now it's back to good ole left vs. right.
