I think the Libertarians and Constitutionalists started the Tea Party people of all races and walks of life joined.
Then the Republicans took over (divide and conquer) and the Liberal Media demonized it (NAACP says they are all racist). And now it's back to good ole left vs. right.
Lots of people have action figures these days (whether or not it was their idea is another story). I've seen Stephen Hawking, GW Bush, and Bernie Madoff action figures.
I'm sure you can have one made of yourself if you're interested :) What do you think would come with a real estate investor action figure? Bandit sign, eviction notice, and a home depot credit card?

I am sure they have done plenty and I am sure those on the right have done plenty too. I am pretty conservative, but I don't pretend that one side of the isle has a monopoly on good ideas. That is foolish.
I do, however, hate seeing a bunch of complete morons running for office this cycle simply because people are pissed off. Let's get back to being adults and elect some people that will shake things up. Let's not elect morons that have no business leading.

Now maybe I haven't seen everything here but it seems to me that just about every thread where it comes up, you focus on how "stupid" candidates backed by the tea party are. Am I wrong here or do you have another objective like s a hypothetical mental exercise or a way of creating activity?

So wait a minute....the Democrats just blew a historic opportunity of 18 straight months where it was Constitutionally impossible for the Republicans to block, stop or slow down any legislation and they blew it. They blew it to a level so severe that they are about to get creamed on November 2nd.......and it's the Tea Party that's stupid? How did you come by that? If the incumbents weren't as stupid as they have proven themselves to be, there would be no Tea Party.
Many Americans are unhappy about the direction this country is headed. The Tea Party movement came about as a way to vocalize this concern.
For those that live in conservative states, it is harder to see the impact of liberalism. I'm grateful that more of the American public is becoming involved and having an impact. I for one don't even want to think about where this country would be if we had another two years of rampant liberalism.

Just because someone does not like a bunch of complete morons running for office does not make them a Democrat Tim. How is that logic hard to follow? I would think that should be pretty easy to piece together for someone seeking a law degree now.

Yes you are missing something. You originally said, "democrat or left-leaner". You set those conditions on the front end, then attempted to say they were something else (Democrat only) on the back end. You can't do that in law.
As an illustration, this is the kind of crap I've been having to study for the past 6 months where all conditions are set at the beginning and all answers are based on those conditions.
I hate to think were we would be this election, if many Americans hadn't gotten involved. The Tea Party has made it possible for many American to voice their concerns. It represents quite a cross section of the American public.
The Republican establishment needs to wake up as well and I happen to think that the Tea Party has helped with that. There are way to many liberals that call themselves conservative when in reality many of their views are liberal.

You couldn't be more accurate Charles. I have even heard of election fraud lawsuits being discussed against some liberal candidates that tried to represent themselves as "Tea Party". You have to be sharp these days and really look critically at what people say, not the titles they give themselves.
I guess that is why I'm not a lawyer. For the record I plan to vote straight Republican if I can figure out how to cast an absentee ballot from out of state!
That's probably why people hate lawyers too...lol Well that and the billing.
You're in Kay Hutchison's district right? She's been kind of flying under the radar nationally. She's the most senior Republican woman in the Senate. Has she talked much about the sexist targeting of some of the women in the race lately?
