How many of you believe that the unemployment rate has actually fallen to 7.9%? What is the "actual" unemployment in your area?
How exciting! I guess with all those jobs created there will be no need to raise taxes on anyone, because money will be flowing into the treasury! Can't wait until they show us the economy is growing at the 5% or more required to get those jobs figures that fast!
Guess all that was needed to change the economy was for us to go to bed, and wake up in Wonderland!

I can't believe how low the pubs can stoop as to claim the labor dept would manipulate numbers for any political purpose. Anyone who believes that isn't aware of how agencies work and how many firewalls there are between such agencies and political influence, in fact, it is illegal to attempt to influence any agency official in the performance of duties....guess most here can't remember Nixon.
The rate dropped THREE TENTHS OF ONE PERCENT which happens often and SIX TENTHS OF ONE PERCENT IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS, which AVERAGES TWO TENTHS OF ONE PERCENT.
I really can have no respect for anyone as an American, who would imply that an agency of government service professionals would attempt to act politically, just insane, there are probably as many repubs as dems in those agencies. Politics is NOT discussed in federal service, it may be informally amoung friends as around any water cooler, but there is a clear line in federal service and it's a quick way to lose your job.
Yes, the numbers are just as accurate as any other month, and they will be adjusted as all historic data is after confirmation of the trends in a few months.
This only indicates a TREND, and it's positive for BO which makes it bad news for the other team, so attack the source of the numbers and imply it was from a politically motivated ploy by the Whithouse.

@Bill Gulley, that would mean that it's the greatest job gain since Ronald Reagan was in office. The numbers can totally be manipulated depending on the neighborhoods called for the survey, etc. Also, did you know that the 823,000 number has a margin of error of ....400,000? Seriously, that sounds like a legitimate survey to you?
And to say that the government doesn't lie for political gain, really? Did you just miss out on the President sending an ambassador and others out to push a story that they knew was a blatant lie, ie. the American ambassador, 2 retired navy seals and a computer tech guy were killed because of a video? Now it turns out the ambassador in Libya had requested some security several times, even a plane to be available to evacuate them, and were refused the help by the State Dept. Rather than have his failed middle east policies exposed for the mess it is, he allowed four Americans to be brutally murdered, and crafted a huge cover up.
Has Obama yet come out and called it a terrorist attack? No, he sends the FBI to investigate it as a "crime". Why didn't they send the marines to secure the site? Because Obama had a campaign event to get to, and didn't give a rip about the dead ambassador. Add to that after his campaign event, he called some DJ rapper joking around on the radio...while the ambassador and others bodies were still being brutalized, and the embassy was still burning, how totally insensitive! Add to that, the President and Vice President parade around the country touting "GM is alive and Bin Laden is dead" does that sound like they're concerned about movies inciting riots?
Also, surprise, surprise, the release of the movie about killing Bin Laden, made by one of Obamas campaign bundlers, just happened to be moved up the weekend before the election. I'm sure that's a coincidence. Of course the President isn't worried about riots in the middle east over that, considering Osama Bin Laden is practically the God of many of the countries in the middle east.
Unfortunately, this President hasn't garnered my respect, but is an embarassment to America. I do however respect the office of the President, and can't wait until Romney is elected and brings honor back in!
So Bill, you just keep drinking the kool aid... apparently it's working.

Didn't you know that all the labor department employees are democrats?! Yeah, little know, but Obama hand selected every single federal employee the first week he took office. When will you stupid liberals learn?
