My husband and I recently married and we have our primary residence in California. We now have the opportunity to update our title to either Joint Tenancy or Community Property with Survivorship. Does anyone have any experience with making this decision and would mind contributing pros and cons of that decision?
@Rochelle Rock you need to look into creating a family living trust instead. The other two options give you protection when one party passes away, but when the second one passes the property will go into Probate. Avoid Probate at all costs.
