Hey Guys,
I have noticed that the closest meetup events for The Greater Los Angeles Area are always in Riverside. I want something closer to my areas of operation (military term) and I have found 2 locations I can use. One in Downtown LA, and the other in Culver City. (2 more possibilities is Hollywood & The Valley)
Wanted to see if any other members here would be interested in participating? I have found that too many groups are just way too pitchy or are trying to sell some MLM nonsense that is not even related to Real Estate.

There is a free BP meetup in Santa Monica the second Saturday of every month. It's not sales pitchy at all.
It starts at 11am and goes for a couple of hours. Don't forget to bring your business cards because there's a lot of opportunity to network there. It's located at

A meet-up sounds awesome! Culver City is probably closest to me.
I am excited to meet like-minded people who are success driven, but no one is there trying to pitch anyone or any kind of MLM garbage? ("No Money Down Real Estate" or Pre- Paid Legal, etc.). I am sure we have ALL heard enough of it. I understand everyone has their hustle, but there is a time and a place.

Not sure if this group idea is still something in the works or a dying idea. Lots of aged messages, no recent updates.
One thing is certain - there's certainly a demand for an LA/Culver City investment group. I'm open to helping get this started if there are 2 or 3 others who are willing to chat offline and join me in getting this going?
I started a small local interest group outside of this forum last year that fizzled. None of us knew what we were doing and we had different ideas about what types of investments we wanted to make and low participation. That was before I found @BiggerPockets! Happy to try my hand at this again if others are interested, motivated and want to do this!

@Jay Williams We host a meetup that has 3 chapters, Long Beach, South Bay and West LA. Let me know if you'd like more info on them, we focus on out of state apartment investing. I am also open to attending a meetup in the Culver City area.

I would also be VERY interested, like most I am a newbie, so i am sorry if i cant bring a lot to the table knowledge wise. I am a multi family commercial brokers so I might be able to lend some insight there, anyway, i am very interested in a meetup.

@Kyle Mitchell I would be VERY interested as well, thanks for the heads up. I am in Westwood and Culver City is pretty central. I always prefer restaurants over coffee shops...Starbucks business meetings feel like an MLM gathering or a weak pitch session.

Thanks, @Michael Tripp. I know of the South LA meetup. The trouble is that it meets on the weekends, I think 10am or so. I work weekends day. 'Looking for a meetup that's in the evening, any day. I am in South LA so a Culver City meetup would be good. But I work in Burbank so something in the valley or even Pasadena would work as well. Thanks.

Haven't seen any activity here in a while. Are the meetup groups are still up and running around here in DTLA. Would love to meet fellow like minded people :)
Open to other locations as well... scoping out some places in Silver Lake/Echo Park area.
Scouting locations along San Gabriel Valley, too. Might do it at Arrow Lodge in Covina or the upcoming Glendora Public Market where Smog City is going to anchor. Trying to find places close to the freeway haha. Taking space suggestions!
