Has anyone tried Tresa Todd Lugten mentorship. I’ve learned so much at BP. Her Mentorship last 16 weeks four $9700. I don’t even know if this is worth paying. I can’t find any reviews. She gave on the one week class I took with her. “Without fear of her future” was very informative but from $17 to $9,700 is a huge risk. Any suggestions please. Thank you.
Be very cautious when you're new and asking these questions. You don't know what you don't know, and you'll find responses from people who create new accounts, just to post about mentorships and coaching. For instance, Twyla's account was just created yesterday and her only posts are about the very mentorship program you're asking about. This is very common among coaches/mentors who need third party endorsements without appearing to be giving endorsements. They use fake accounts or surrogate accounts who try to appear neutral but are really just using a common strategy to try and build credibility for mentorship programs.
I joined a mastermind group but never had any mentorship. With the right mentor I assume its cool and if you are able to actually do a deal to cover your investment I guess its all good. I know some who have been in a real estate academy for years and still haven´t executed one deal. To me, I feel the best way to learn is to invest in a project doing the things you are interested in learning. So many investors raise money for their projects and by doing this you are allowed to look over their shoulder. You get back your principle, interest and can walk away with an education. Earn while you learn as opposed to giving someone 10k. I actually invested in a condo conversion and got so much out of it.
I just took her Master Class for $17 in October, and transcribed it as well. It was a lengthy process, but excellent information. This is a course designed to give you information, but the primary objective is to recruit you to mentor with WREIN. It is costly, "$19,500" for a year of mentorship. The beauty is that you get inside a very successful network of End buyers, investors, and plenty of support to get you going. You then continue to be in their network. I do believe that it is a good investment. I am now working out getting a group of people together to look at using all that I learned from the class, without paying for the mentorship. It was suggested that PROPSTREAM.com is the best source to find a lead list, probate and pre-foreclosure opportunities, as well as end buyers. There is a subscription to this cost, but it is worth it. Check out Clifford Walker at https://www.cliffordthecowboycloser.com.
He was a truck driver who took the course, and switched career paths, and is doing extremely well. He works closely with Trese Todd.
I hope this helps. I say, "Go for it!"

The network definitely is a HUGE value in the program. I'm more apt to lend to ladies in the network because I know they have skin in the game. We are committed to help each other. It is the most supportive, non-competitive group of women I've ever, ever met! If you want to get the information in the Masterclass, Tresa wrote a book with the same title as the Masterclass. It has some of the same info in it. However, it does not have the wisdom and coaching of some of the other coaches.
I totally agree. Well said. "Skin in the game" is key. Thank you for saying that!
I think I just got tricked into paying 17 bucks for 7 days of advertising! Damn! 17 bucks is a small lesson to learn. It could of been way more. Ill never fall for that one again
Hi Karena,
I think the $17 is not a loss at all. It is not 8 days of advertising, but incredible strategies to buy real estate with other people's money. It is certainly not a scam, and it works. What is talked about is having a mentor to help you navigate the steps for each strategy. But, it can be done, building your own team with end buyers, private money lending, etc. If you're serious about real estate investing, it is worth learning their strategies. I transcribed the course (48pages), and I'm building my team. Ideally, working within WREIN gives you immediate support, financial backing, etc. to be successful. You are surrounded by a network of people helping each other.
I've been working for Real Estate Investment company for over a year and have been doing JV deals for the last 6 months. However, I have only actually closed one official deal. I've got three accepted offers that are being held up by issues like Tennent's who won't move out, probate dispute, and attorney language.
I have one really good mentor and work with a small team of Investors. However, I struggle with terminology, real estate procedure, and how to run the numbers. I was hoping hoping this class would enlighten me.
I would recommend you join you local real estate investment club first. They will provide you the needed education at a much lower cost.
Thank you. I will look into that.
Give me $1 and I’ll tell you everything I know, and donate the $1 to charity. A lot of us would do that.

Buyer Beware! I just got out of the week long $17 class. Out of say 14 hours I probably got 4 hours tops of investing info. The rest is one big infomercial for TT & Sons Mentorship class which is a whopping $19K. As well there are alot of church preachy sermons and a a good part of one class with her son bragging about his expensive cars, flying in a copter to a cliff to propose to his wife, photo's of their wedding, their child, son pumping his wife's artwork, etc. Not sure what that has to do with investing other than him pounding home....the only way to have this expensive lifestyle is by paying us a whopping $19K for the mentorship program and that's the only way you will make it. Yeah right! They all hint at dipping into your 401K's to pay for it, and that is really unethical. I feel they had a lot of unethical business practices that they were telling us about under the guise of being good Christians. They have this guy the Cowboy Closer who is so un-inspiring as a guest, can't even get a sentence out about investing other than he was a truck driver. And now he has a class and a book deal! That alone means anyone can set-up a class and get a book deal just alot of smoke and mirrors. Though the class was only $17 not a big investment. But I saw all these very religious women hanging on to every word TT says, and a heck of a lot of Amen's. Since TT is religious she has an "in" to market to women in those religious circles. I was banned from the class for commenting about wanting actual investing INFO and less preachy sermon lectures. All they have to get is 526 followers each month to take their mentorship and they are making 10mil a month alone, that's alot of coin for very little info. To me is one big Ponzi/ Pyramid scheme. Everything they said could be gotten from free seminars, FB group pages, books and local REI groups, but they made it sound like they had privileged and secret info. NO thank-you.
@Mayerling Mejia what is your goal ? I have personally experienced paying thousands of dollars for coaches that did Zero for our business. And before you ask, it had nothing to do with our activities or lack of doing what we were instructed to do.
I don’t know the ratio of success vs waste of time and money. But I would guess from what I’ve heard and results I’ve seen but if you could spend that money on coaching do you have additional resources to start investing ?
As always just my opinion

Hi @Mayerling Mejia,
I was tempted at first to connect with one of these "mentorship" programs that charge but I think the thousands of dollars for the course if risky in my opinion. I think the best way to learn and grow if to keep combing through the BP forums, connecting with local investors or realtors who are investors and get a sense from their experiences and see how it may be applicable to you.
I live in Chicago but I got started with rental investments in Milwaukee as the numbers early on made sense. I had my lows and also had some highs, but the greatest thing I took away from it was the experience and being able to learn as I am doing it in real time rather than going through someone else's use case.
Happy to connect and discuss more if you want. Feel free to send me a message!

@Sandi not sure I understand your comment. Honestly I give my clients quality coaching all the time. The hope and plan is that they will use me as their Realtor but there have been ample clients that I keep in touch with who decided this was not their market and the consultation I gave them benefited them in a different market.
However, that is besides the point. I think what I was answering in my initial comment is there are Loads and Loads of 'sudo' coaches that make their living teaching others what someone could learn in books and podcasts. In my opinion, with personal drive and determination, someone can pick a team and make investments on their own without a coach. that's all.
It sounded like you were stating the value of coaching. Of course not all coaching is worth the investment, but with focused and quality coaching, you are going to get further, faster, than taking a bit here and a bit there, trying to do it on your own. If you look at almost any successful person, they had a mentor or coach that they invested in. And being a teacher or educator is different than being a coach/mentor. No disrespect intented. They are just different but not mutually exclusive.
I signed up for the mentorship in March 2022 and it has been nothing short of a disappointment. The calls are not tailored to a specific group of woman, they allow new members to join at anytime, so the calls often repeat information so that the new people can get caught up. The calls cover a multitude of strategies that can be found here on bigger pockets at a much lower price (or anywhere on the web).
The encouragement offered by the coaches to quit W2 job and go head first in REI is not sustainable for most of the woman that join! The encouragement to take out of your IRA to support another woman in the group is also bad advice because there is no support for when the PML deal goes south. Like the situation I am in right now. My posts for help on the Facebook page are immediately deleted and swept under the rug. Do no fall prey to WREIN group.
@Angela, I'm sorry that's been your experience. Some of the calls are like that but a lot are not. I'm typically on Jordan Cooper's calls and there's typically only 10-ish people, which is great for me, because he breaks down all the finances, holding costs, cap rates, etc to help you analyze a deal. Look me up in the group if you want and message me. I'd like to help you.
@Angela Clark I am so very sorry you went through that all and spent your money on what was marketed as "specialized" investing knowledge/ education. And if you need to rely solely on the help of others in the group to educate you i.e. Sandi Folkert's, what a huge rip off as you're not paying them for the mentorship. It is certainly not what your $ was suppose to cover as per all their media, marketing BS. The mentorship should be consistent and the same for everyone. Just proves to me what a sham/ pyramid scheme the entire thing is. It just sounds like all they care about is making $ in any way they can cheat people in the name of good Christians. I just wish more people going forward sees it for what it really is and doesn't buy into all that BS. Best of luck to you.
I won't be surprised if a lawsuit is eventually filed against that organization by members who thought they were paying 20k for something so strategic that no other investors know about! Nope nothing they say is so strategic that it can't be found on here, or other REI websites for free. I also wouldn't be surprised if there isnt some type of tax fraud being committed.
Oh PS the business is owned by men (her sons who are about the greediest people I have ever met), it’s not a woman only organization like it’s made out to be!
@Angela Clark I here you and agree all around. I personally almost threw my computer through the window the day her son was cold out bragging about his privileged life. But the most despicable thing I saw was when the negotiating son quite a dead beat speaker overall, told us that he offered a foreclosure seller LESS $ than his original 1st offer to get them into a rental. He took that $ btw 1st offer and 2nd LOWER offer to get them into the rental yet was patting himself on the back as if he was the "hero", without even disclosing to the seller he was using the sellers own $. They could have profited more by getting the higher 1st offer and having family/friend get them into a rental and perhaps had a little extra in their own pockets. I am not sure how cheating the down and out is good Christian values? That hypocrisy really summed it up for me and shined the light on exactly what they were about. Sorry once again for your $ loss, hopefully more will see though this all moving forward.
