Should I leave my last name OFF my LLC business cards?

Question

I'm a physician in the community I invest in. I know they could look up who owns the LLC, but most won't.

I wonder if my casual, friendly style may not be viewed the same if they have negative preconceived notions of "rich" doctors. If they google my name, the whole first page shows I'm a doctor.

business cards are for establishing personal contact in a business setting. They also represents a bit of old school courtesy and signaling "I am a serious person" A card with no name on it is just an advertisement and will be treated as such. One without a full name is risky...crotchety people like me would think it was flighty and disreputable.

I know someone who sells to me would find out my full name. But most people I hand my business card to would not.

Not getting it - They'll find out your last name eventually and what you do.

Why be ashamed or try to hide it?

You could call yourself Debbie the Real Estate Pro or something catchy like that.

Hey Deborah,

Your last name is definitely unique so perhaps using your middle name instead might do the trick.

Another option would be to use Debbie so if anyone googles you your Dr. profile wont show up!
