Worst Hoarder House Ever

Worst Hoarder House Ever

About two weeks ago we bought a house. Knowing it was full of trash and has been empty a while. We got a good deal on the house, but knew it would take alot of work. It is in a rental neighborhood. This is a 900 sq ft 2 bedroom house. In the end we removed around 110 yards of (tightly compacted) trash!! The  first photo is taken standing on the porch, one could barely open the door. The basement had trash piled 4-5 feet deep through-out. We found through dates on papers and food boxes (that could be read) it had been empty since around the year 2000, and they just left the kitchen with all the food in it. Owner was still alive just got overwhelmed bought a new house and left this one go. We still have a ways to go fixing it, but we finally have it emptied out.

I know I promised photos to some of you guys @Bob E.@Brett Snodgrass@Chris Wood@Kimberly Schmid@Ben Leybovich(no comments allowed from you, lol, I already know this pig was fat with trash, though soon with will be fat throwing off cash@Ryan Dossey

Ha....that's awesome.

Does the seller want to sell the newer house they're in now?  I'm sure it'll be the same way soon.

You should invite all the newbies in Fort Wayne to walk through the process with you of what you did to buy it and your whole rehab process.  It would be invaluable information for them.  Can't wait to see your before vs. after post with pictures!

Wow! May the seller was planning to build a recycling center and he needed a prototype of some sort! This is scary! 😂

Jeremy!  There is money in that house somewhere? I know exactly where this house is.  We have a house directly across from it painted the same color. Have fun my man. Better have gotten a deal of the life time to take care of all of that.

Those houses are great! Keeps many other buyers away and the clean up can be done by anyone - doesn't need a special license or skill.

I once bought a 2500sqf craftsman, that had a tiny path through the house. Everything else was piled 8' high with clothes in bags. The owner had been collecting clothes for years, to give to the homeless and different shelters. But those shelters wouldn't accept them, unless they were freshly washed. So, the lady kept holding on to them and it kept piling up. This was 2500 sqf - 8' high.

There were no rats or mice or even roaches. We found a huge snake hole below the house. At least my carpenter told me that that this was a hole for a snake, with several entrances. I guess they ate whatever rats there had been. Never found the snake

That is bad... but I have seen worse!

Very sweet old lady who had floor to ceiling stacks of junk, boxes, papers, you name it. So much deferred maintenance that there was actually holes in the walls and squirrels and critters were living in the home ala Grey Gardens. The basement was terrifying. It was like the outside was on the inside. The home was a was a tear down.

    Jeremy-

Being in the note business we have taken over houses that were pretty bad & FULL of trash. BUT I think you win the award. Might take a full tanker of pest repellent to get rid of all the bugs that have made new homes. Good luck my friend.

This is an old hoarder house Wholetail flip. (I think it was October 2005) 1 of 2 from an absentee owner. Sold it to the end buyer "As Is". Our conversation was in Spanish and he asked me "What About All The Trash"? Es Incluido! It's Included! NO CHARGE! He took it as is and gave me his non refundable cash deposit on the spot. The neighbor behind the house also wanted to buy it. Therefore, AS IS! I told my wife, "Smells like money"! She didn't get it until I showed her the cash deposit. The previous owner had 17 cats living with her.

These pictures bring back lots of good memories.  At some point you have to laugh.  There is a huge amount of money to be made in some homes that look like that.
