Real Developers Leaving California

Real estate developers are removing their operations from California. Two contributing factors are high construction costs and regulations that make obtaining a construction permit difficult.

California already has a large housing shortage. If developers do not build additional housing units it is likely we will see rents increase on much older and likely inferior housing compared to what developers would have built.
