How and where to find tenants

Question

I’m currently using the basic websites to advertise my rentals (room rentals), those being Roomsters.com, roomies.com, Airbnb.com, Craigslist.com

however, I am wondering if there are better places to market my rentals and find better/more tenants. Any tips would be appreciated

FB marketplace, zillow, airbnb.com are the ones we use! Would also help if you are targeting a specific group of people (Students only for example) to join those groups and market to them specifically on facebook.

@Jesus Bravo - I primarily use facebook marketplace, zillow and apartments.com. I get my most reliable leads from zillow and apartments.com. With Facebook marketplace, you get a ton of traffic but most tenants don't pass prescreening criteria.

FB market place and Zillow. We don't use anything else. Craigslist is dead.

We are also using the rent by room strategy! We think it is best to post to lots of sites to bring the greatest amount of potentially qualifying leads in. @Jesus Bravo I use Facebook, but not marketplace. There are “social” group FB pages and classified pages in my area. I post there and have people message me via messenger. Then I can look at their FB profiles and pre screen them. If they are obsessed with weed, posting about drinking every weekend, espouse communism, complaining about always being broke or have prison tattoos I don’t message them back :) good luck!

Same as above but really like the format of Zillow Rental.  It helps post to a few more sits (HotPads and others I believe) and their format for communicating and getting some upfront relevant information is great.  I have landed most of my tenants on there and they have been awesome. (I do have credit score and income verification requirements as well) but it helps push out some of the dead weight that comes in.  Facebook is so and so, I've landed one solid tenant from there but you also get absolutely bombarded by people that just want to click on anything new and shiney.

A multi-step process. I post on zillow and apartments.com. Then, I find specific FB groups for my target audience and post on marketplace. I use a google form to help sift through candidates as well in my posts.

Depending on your location: traveling nurse sites. Maybe hostels sites?
