Congrats on the first house hack — that first one changes how you look at housing forever.
I’d connect with as many Indiana operators as you can, but also start keeping notes on the actual operating side now: rent assumptions vs. reality, vacancy, maintenance, utilities, tenant friction, and what surprised you. That operating history becomes incredibly valuable by the time you’re looking at house hack #2.
We spend a lot of time thinking about exactly that layer — turning what happens on one property into better decisions on the next one.
