Is it possible to Wholesale under your own name?

I am looking to possibly wholesale townhome lots in St Cloud, FL. Is it possible to wholesale under your own name rather than under a company or LLC? Do you need special permits or licensing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
