Should I follow up with sellers every few days even if they have NOT shown interested? Or should I follow up with them when they have shown interest only?
@Arthur Hernandez Focus your follow-up on sellers who have shown some level of interest. If someone does not show interest, I would not follow up with them. It is better to spend your time on warmer leads.
@Janice Carter Just to be clear, is following-up with a seller mean if a seller doesn't answer the first time I call, do I call back a next day or in a few days. That's what I mean. Or is that just calling them back because the seller didn't answer. And following-up is for sellers who have shown interest but have not decided to sign a contract? What is following-up?
Follow up with both. Interest today can become motivation later, and a lot of sellers who say “not interested” really mean “not right now.” The key is adjusting frequency. Hot leads who showed interest should get tighter follow-up every few days based on their timeline. Cold or uninterested leads should go into a longer nurture cycle—every 30, 60, or 90 days with a simple check-in. Life changes create deals: job moves, repairs, taxes, tenants, divorce, inheritance. Many contracts come from people who said no first. Stay respectful, stay organized, and stay consistent.
