To start off I know a lot of people ask about skip trace companies here in the wholesale forum but I would love to hear from some experienced users of these services to determine which is best!
After sifting through old forums and posts I came up with these 11:
1. Private Eye
2. People Finders
3. TIO (from transunion)
4. True People Search
5. Skipgenie
6. Batch Skip Tracing
7. Belles Link
8. REI Skip
9. Ultimate Skip Tracing
10. TRU (from Experian)
11. Been Verified
I believe I saw that TRU and TIO would require a business to be qualified and vetted before being able to use their service but wasn't super clear on that process. Some of these sites were free, some required large batches, and others had monthly memberships and then a payment per trace. I am planning to do my first batch trace soon of 250-300 properties and had narrowed down to Been Verified, Belles Link, and Batch Skip Trace but I would love to hear people's opinions and reviews! batchskiptracing.com is the worst. Their results are inaccurate & the support team is terrible. I still haven't gotten an answer to my question or even a call from them after two months and about 10 emails to them. I sent them a list of 50 names, two of which included myself & my gf. The list I sent had names and addresses. They did send several numbers with each name but none of them were accurate for her or I. We received about 3 numbers per person I believe but they were all extremely old numbers. My gf & I have both had our current cell phone numbers for over five years each & have been at our current address for over two years...

TLO is best by far but you have to jump through alot of holes to setup. The comparison is not even there. If you are doing a one off its not appropriate to use it but if accurate skiptracing is a lifeblood of your business then you can't go without it. You could also pay somebody who has it to do it for you. I like good old fashioned neighbor knocking the most. They will give you way more info than any of these sites.

Interesting. I have actually had good luck with them. Maybe its because we do 5000-6000 at a time so its a bigger sample size.
@Jeff Mason Hey Jeff, yea I have been skiptracing more consistently now and have been using batchskiptrace in my business. They are super easy to work with and results are consistent. Not every name gets the right number but for the price and consistency I think its a good value tool. The wholesaling inc guys seem to be doing some teaming up with them now to so that gives me confidence they will continue to get better as well.
@Wes Short I work for BellesLink, one of the other companies on your original list. I'd love to get your opinion on our service and the quality of our data. Would you be willing to run a batch with BellesLink and give us your opinion?
Beyond accurate data, here are two other things to know about BellesLink's batch skip tracing search:
With BellesLink, all the numbers you get back in your batch results are working, connected numbers. There are no disconnected numbers, we test every one. Would that feature be a value to you? Do you get many disconnected numbers from batchskiptrace?
Also, BellesLink provides a caller ID for every number. This allows you to determine the best number to call鈥攖he number with a caller ID that matches the person you searched is the best number. It also allows you to know who you're calling so you can address you call or voicemail message directly to that person. Do you think caller IDs would be value in your calling process?

I'm looking to a bulk skip but .25 is on the high side.
I got TLO skips from two separate freelancers on UpWork. Provided them with name, auditor mailing address, and the property they own. I'm having a VA dial and its looking like about 1 in 20 numbers is correct. This is equates to a contact on 1 in 5 leads or less assuming best case. Does this sound on par with the results you guys are getting from TLO? Are there better options out there?
I just skipped my first list of 50 records and used REISkip (love Max) and got a 94% match. I liked it because they also scrub it against DNC so I know the DNC list and if they're litigators. Also, only $.15 a record.
I want to sample Batch though because I also love Brent and trust the Phoenix gang out there. They can get up to 10 numbers, while REISkip is only up to 3. However, they do not scrub the list for you and are at $.20 a record.
Have a list of 1,400 props so want to make a good choice now that it's a bigger one...
Locateplus is another good one, it's much like TLO with the accuracy. It's also easier to set up an account & it's much cheaper.. TLO is good because it gives you more information just too pricey for me lol
@Shelby Hensley I have been using REI Skip as well, and I usually get numbers on around 90-95% of the list. But when I call on these, probably 40% are disconnected numbers and another 30% I end up calling people that have no connection to the property or owner at all. I would absolutely love to pay a little extra per lead to stop wasting so much time calling dead numbers.
I have had really good results using Belleslink - I have been skip tracing in IN and CO - not sure if location really matters but there are my 2 cents. I seem to remember that they do number checking - If you reach out to them they are very responsive and decent team to work with.
I originally used REI Skip, but as someone else had mentioned, a lot of the numbers were disconnected or not in service. I have since switched over to batch skip trace. There are definitely still a lot of numbers that don't work, but I am still reaching people often enough that I don't have an issue. I also use True People Search if I am just trying to look up the owner of an address. It honestly has been decently accurate for one off searches.
@Nick Seginowich I decided to use Batch because they offer a free scrub service...so got more numbers, and scrubbed for free. Win-win for what I was looking for as compared to REI Skip. Also, if you sign up for their Batch Lead stacker, they will skip at $.15 a record, as well. Without it, use their promo code 'TTP' and still get records skipped for $.18. So far, I'm happy with the service and will stick with it until I learn otherwise.
Also, with Batch..as I've been testing out softwares...they've been really great with service. Their rep checks on me a lot and calls just to see if I'm happy with the data. I have her direct line now and can reach out for anything. I did a demo with Batch Lead Stacker and I like they are very responsive, engaged, they host webinars several times a week, and have a FB group. The software still needs work, it's in beta right now, but I trust they'll take the recommendations to application. I know they have a nice new rollout coming soon, too. Hoping they continue the tweaks and it'll be a great tool for our business.
I used REISkip and got a lot of bad numbers. Just tried Batchskip due to people talking good about it. I ran the same list in both to see what the outcome would be...and noticed that Batchskip had way less DNC matches than REISkip? Anyone else see this? It's good that if it's more accurate, but I don't want to call DNC numbers?

in TLO can you search a single specific address for that owners info? how would pricing work for that

On TLO and TIO, what are the hoops we have to jump through? When I called TLO it was more like jumping through rings of fire. But if some folks DO have it, it means I have approached them wrong. @Chris Karley mentioned we could find someone on upwork that has access to TLO and that could be an interim solution of course but it's hard to accept TLO or TIO built a smoke screen to prevent us from tapping into their service. Thank you all in advance. @Wes Short my success with batch was .03 and their overall demeanor with customer blows too. whitepages and beenverified are your friends. @Michael Ablan the answer is no Michael unless you're former Cirque du soleil performer, still has a 6 pack and a full head of hair.
