How could I wholesale my first property while being overseas in the military. Do I have to he there to make an transaction? Also what books could I read to gain more specialized knowledge about this ?

@Nicholas check out the book on flipping houses in the BiggerPockets library. You don't need to be in the location, just need to find a solid deal, and be able to find someone to buy it from you. This can all be done remotely, though it is easier said than done to start from scratch in a new area without being there.
