Do I need home warranty when selling my home?

I'm about to sell my mobile home in Southern California. The buyer's agent is requesting me, the seller, to provide a 1 year home warranty. Is this commonplace?

That is fairly standard from new builds to existing homes. The HW for the buyer is basically a good faith showing that you are able to provide a great home and any small items that break are covered for that first year.

Its pretty common and a lot of times the warranty will cover your home while its in the listing stage so if something comes up before you close it can be covered.  I had a listing once that I put a warranty on, just as an incentive to both buyer and seller, and it so turned out that their refrigerator went out during this time and the warranty covered it for them..saved them  around $900.  I was using 2-10.com then.

It is not uncommon. There are companies you can use to get a warranty and it’s not expensive

before the boom sellers were offering this. I bought my primary in April 2022. seller did not offer that. i head sometimes your agent might gift you one...

@Daniel Kim It's up to you whether or not you want to provide the warranty for the sale of your mobile home. Though, it may make the home easier to sell if it gives buyers peace of mind when putting in offers. Hope that helps!
