DMV Investing & Nationwide pain points

Hey guys - I've been in investing in the DC area as well as Ohio since 2019. I started out flipping homes in the PG county area in Maryland, then shifted to DC. Around 2022 I started long term holds in the Toledo, Ohio and Cleveland areas (Triplexes, etc.). More recently I've been shifted to SaaS product development in real estate related products. Trying to find pain points people have in the software they use in their real estate business see if any SaaS product development could help solve them. If anyone would like to connect on real estate, flipping (in any area), long term holds or even software development real estate related, definitely all ears.

That’s a strong combo of experience, flipping in DMV markets, plus long-term holds in OH, which gives you a pretty rare perspective on both high-cost and cash-flow markets.

    Welcome, Tabish!

You’ve built a really interesting mix of experience in investing and real estate tech. I’m Diana Khan, a Maryland real estate attorney, broker, and investor, and I’m always glad to connect with others working across the DMV.

Hi @Tabish Masood, just a quick note. We created another BiggerPockets account because we did not realize this original account was still active. That newer account has now been closed, and I’ll be using this account moving forward. I’m still happy to connect with you here.

Happy to connect. Regarding software, i see so many new software companies and them pitching me to use there product, i personally feel the market is oversaturated with software. The one software I do not see anyone having that is affordable is for property owners who use multiple property managers who use different software taht could bring them all into one platform.

Welcome, Tabish. That's an interesting transition from investing into building software for investors. Since you've worked in both fix-and-flips and long-term rentals across different markets, you probably have a unique perspective on the operational challenges many investors face. It'll be interesting to see what you build—best of luck with both the software and your investing.
