Great question, Erik. Mobile home financing is definitely a more specialized area, especially when you’re dealing with homes on leased land versus purchasing an entire mobile home park.
From the business funding side, there are also options worth exploring, such as business lines of credit, business loans, and SBA financing for eligible projects. The right financing really depends on how the investment is structured.
I’m curious, are you looking to finance individual mobile homes for renovations and rentals, or are you looking to acquire an entire mobile home park? That makes a big difference in determining which funding options might be available.
I have been approached to buy mobile homes in a mobile home park. I was going to start with one. I am using all cash on my end. Financing it over 10 years to a vetted tenant. Mobile home is new. I have other single family homes. I have seen other people do this-being the bank. There are always risks. This seems like another niche market. Is anyone else doing this?
