I go Schlage because they use a 9V vs AAA batteries and when it’s -40*C they still actually work (mainly because use physically slides the bolt) , the AAA’s don’t when it’s that cold.

If you have internet connection onsite the meter has 5 year battery and you can read it remotely.The old versions basically had an outside meter in a lock box in parallel with the water line.
