Hey BP Community,I’m looking for some guidance from those of you who have real experience in new construction and residential development.

Amarillo doesn’t have a ton of shovel-ready land being developed right now, so capacity to absorb demand could be limited. 

I still want to flip and develop and I feel like a bankruptcy on my credit history will limit my access to funding and my ability to move forward with real-estate projects all together :(

Traditional office development is down.

They had about 200 separate properties from small garden apartments in SAC to big land deals ( I ran their land development end as an independent contractor) Brian you will like this one..

In Iowa, I'd imagine you'll have to put less down therefore reducing your risk early on in your business.It is possible to start across multiple markets but I believe you'll have better and stronger results by focusing on one at a time until you've developed your systems.All the best!

To be honest working with home owners is ok, but developers, builders, flippers, etc... are repeat customers.

I did a new development 4plex a few years ago in Los Angeles:- Our planning phase took a bit longer than expected because we were trying to do something uncommon in the area as we were one of the first developers in the area to really squeeze 4, 4bd3.5bas in a single lot at that density.
