Thou doth protest too much... 

We did what they asked -- had signs put up in the area to make it more safe, asked for additional police presence in the neighborhood because the neighbors feel "unsafe", invited all 20 houses to an open house to get to know us and address concerns, installed ring cameras, addressed parking concerns, the list goes on with actions we have taken to address the issues.........as of last night the planning and zoning committee denied us again based on the protest of the neighbors at the hearing. 

Also, you are more likely to protest taxes than the owner-occupant.You should be aware that there was a case tried in Cincinnati about 4 years ago that successfully challenged the single family rental property inspections. 

I know you can do tax protest to adjust but it's not always successful. 

If you asked someone from the “Greatest Generation” about Boomers in the 60’s they would say, “Oh, those lazy hippies will never amount to anything, all they want to do is practice free love, complain about life and protest the war, grow their hair out, smoke their weed, drop their acid, turn on, tune out and drop out at Woodstock with their damn electric guitars that are breaking their ears and watching the Boob tube that’s rotting their brains, they’re so self centered and selfish and entitled, they don’t want to work an honest job like they should, they’re all lousy naval-gazing losers.”

I protested but with no success.

Hi BP,I am originally from LA and I am interested in Boyle Heights, CA near DTLA (Downtown LA) and I have been reading about a lot of anti gentrification protests going on and anti- redevelopment resentment happening.

Homeowners will receive their tax assessment each April, and if interested, can file a tax protest by mid-May.

@Seth Tipton What I do and many other investors do is protest taxes and raise rents.
