A Real Estate Stager's Introduction!

Hello everybody. My name is Wendy Timmons and I am a home stager from Temecula, CA. My passion is helping houses sell faster and for more money. I have been flipping properties for years w/ my parents. I hope to be able to help everyone that has questions on real estate staging, and to learn some things myself! I am also a licensed real estate agent.

Hi Wendy, welcome to BiggerPockets.

I read about stagers having problems in CA with their stuff being stolen. Seems the thieves come to open houses, case the property and leave a window unlocked. Have you been hit?

No I have not been hit. I have a lot of friends around the country that have been though. It is like everything else, desperate times brings out desperate people.
Stagers are definitely taking protective measures to safeguard their stuff. If we get hit, insurance will cancel us! Crazy stuff :)

In my area right now there is not a lot of owner occupied houses for sale. There is tons of foreclosures. So majority of work is coming from banks that want to move their properties. A few investors, but definitely would love to hook-up with more :)

Hi Adam,
I like everything about being a stager! Buying and selling have changed and buyers are much more savvy. Maybe HGTV? Staging is like prepping for a job interview- you put on your best and get ready to impress. Or selling your car- you wash it and make it look it's best to get top dollar for it. Staging is the same thing, except it is for most people their biggest investment! Helping sellers showcase their house to appeal to as many buyers as possible is awesome to me. I could go on and on but I am sure you figured out it is my PASSION :) Thanks for asking!
