Tax Advisor for a Newbie Investor

Hi! We finally closed on our first investment property in 2021. With tax season approaching, my fiancé and I are looking for a tax advisor that is knowledgable and savvy in the REI world. We're in the Tampa Bay Area and aspire to grow our portfolio here. Any recommendations for a tax advisor for a newbie in the REI game?

Hey @Danielle Ramkissoon, it may be a good idea to read The Book on Tax Strategies for the Savvy Real Estate Investor and then The Book on Advanced Tax Strategies to understand what conversations you can have with your CPA and get a solid foundation on taxes yourself. Both were published by BP and are excellent reads!

There are some great tax advisors here on the BP forums. Reach out to a few and see who is still taking on new clients. This is busy season for all of us.
