New to real estate and looking to learn and make connections

Taylor G.
Posted

Hi all,

I am new to the real estate world and my primary purpose in posting this is to introduce myself to fellow investors and agents in the area. I live in Fairfield County and am looking to invest in a property for house hacking somewhere in New Haven County.

I've spent the last year or so (on and off) looking for my first investment property to house hack but have had minimal luck. I have yet to find a real estate agent who is eager to help kick-start my investing journey, so I am open to having conversations and meeting new agents. Overall, I am looking to seek connections and resources to learn as much as I can about real estate investing in general and grow my network in the area. I look forward to connecting!

How have you been looking on and off without a realtor? What's been your way of trying to find a realtor familiar with house hacking? Have you gone to any real estate investor meetups to meet other investors and find out who they use? Realtors hear the same story a lot - I am starting my journey and plan on doing a lot, but I need help right now. What they want is a proof of funds, a plan, and a buy box. If you have that, there are many of us who can connect you with someone in the area who works with house hackers.
