Tenants Friendly States vs Non-tenant Friendly States

Looking to find out which states are Tenant friendly and which are NOT.. Is there a simple way to find this out ?

    Good question... I'd be interested to know if such a listing has been pre-complied already or not, as I imagine it would be an interesting read if it contains rationale for any ranking or grades given. But me personally - I'd only seek to own rentals in States / Cities where I have a current, prior or family local presence, so I would then already have insight into which side of the scale that specific location falls.

    Kyle J. According to that article both Nebraska and Arizona are more renter friendly than California and New York........lol

    @Anthony Gayden - I think it's just because of some of the objective factors they considered in their rankings.  For example, the number of days for a termination notice for lease violation is more favorable to the tenant in Arizona or Nebraska than in California.  Or how the maximum security deposit that can be charged by the landlord is more favorable to a tenant in Arizona or Nebraska than in California or New York.
