The Illinois Manufactured Housing Association is currently fighting two bills in Illinois that would allow rent control law and regulations. We have stalled both bills temporarily.
We will be putting on a Lobby Day on March 14th in Springfield, Illinois where community owners will be given position papers and guided to a meeting with their state representative and senators. That evening we will be hosting our first ever Legislator Reception. Our Board of Directors will meet on March 15th which everyone is welcome to attend.

Hope it works out for you @Ken Rishel. Could be a benchmark for the Nation. But there are drawbacks both ways. You know that age ole adage. "The higher the rent the lower the value of the MH"
They're trying to expand it in California with AB 1506 and repealing Costa Hawkins.... this is a domino waiting to happen when housing prices get high rent control gets on agenda so politicians can get short term votes. Rent control destroys cities especially the poor areas of cities that need revitalization.

I've heard in grapevine that this is why Blackstone and some institutional investors got out of SFR investing in California they already knew there were talks about repealing Costa Hawkins
