I am looking to get into a mastermind group of local investors in south Florida. I am in Lake Worth and looking for re-habs or flips. At the moment I am looking for a GC to pull the proper permits for my current project. Hopefully we can get in with a diverse team of individuals on a regular basis. Thanks for the forum.
@Charlie DiLisio have you checked out your local REIA? There's a Palm Beach REIA, though I haven't had a chance to make it up there yet so I can't vouch for it. Also @Jon Huber runs a monthly coffee meetup on Saturday's in Delray Beach.
Also I can point you to a bunch of other investor meetings in Dade and Broward if you're up for the drive...

I saw that meetup you were having but I work Saturdays and Sundays. I am off during the week however. Do you have any other times that you meet? Hope you had a good turnout on Saturday. I do belong to Tropical REIA in Boynton but also looking for a smaller group to connect with and do business with. Thanks for the info.
@charliedilisio - I am an investor and GC also looking for flips (trying to focus on higher end properties) in the Delray, Boynton, Lake Worth / Lantana, WPB areas and would also be very interested in a mastermind group.
I am a licensed and insured GC. I do not pull permits (and risk losing my license) for a project that I'm not in charge of or supervising, but I'm sure there's something we can work out.
There is a REIA that meets every couple of fridays at the Palm Beach Ale House for lunch. The meetings are posted on meetup.com through the Palm Beach Real Estate Investors Association group. It seems to be a pretty good mix of professionals with no pitching just networking. They have another meeting this Friday at 12:30

@Buck Savage - The local investor meetings I like to attend are:
- DREIA hosts a monthly event in Miami Shores on the 3rd Wednesday. Occasionally they also do an event in Ft. Lauderdale on a Thursday (www.dreia.org)
- BREIA hosts a monthly meeting in Davie on the first Wednesday (www.breia.com)
- @Dawson Johnson runs a weekly lunch meeting every Thursday in Ft. Lauderdale - one of my favorite meetings. (http://www.meetup.com/REandB/)
