What fun thing would you do with $25,000 - $30,000

If you were financially free, and just wanted to splurge money on some new hobby or a toy or activity, what is the fun thing you would do? 

I will go first.. I am a huge baseball fan, so I would go to every single major league ballpark (all 30 of them) in one single season. We are talking from Fenway to Marlins Park, and Safeco Field to Petco Park, and everything in between. 

I would also buy the best seats right behind home plate. Watching Kershaw throw right at you... PRICELESS ! 

Please don't say...."I will invest in the next real estate venture, or lend money at a gazillion percent interest rate".  In reality, I would invest in next property too, but this post is not about that. This is about something that you always dreamed of doing.

    @Laura L. has the right idea, and I am planning something similar, although I may spend a little more than 10k on the boat....

    And I think I would climb Kilimanjaro again- I did it about six months ago but I had pneumonia on the way up and wasn't loving summit day. That trip only cost about $2500 (I was already in Tanzania) so I still have some more of my imaginary 25k left- guess I'll add biking (with our camping gear) across Europe from the Atlantic to the Black Sea on Eurovelo route 6. We went from Amsterdam to Sweden last summer on our tandem, camping some of the time, but the rest of the time in hotels was expensive. Maybe I need an imaginary 30k, not 25k...

    Great thread- fun to remember why we are doing this real estate game!

     Don't bring a baseball hat. Doesn't matter the logo. That's how foreigners always know it is an American walking around - the telltale baseball hat.

    The two things I'd like to do can't be done for less than $50K. I'll go with fly fishing Patagonia & Kamchatka on one trip.... I get to leave my wife at home right? I'll bribe her with a Chanel bag. That should still leave me enough. I think I could also squeeze in a fairly decent bamboo rod with that budget.

My Turkish friend told me about the under gound city that I want to see. But those are just lukewarm wants.

    @Aaron Mazzrillo  I have a business partner in Singapore so been there.. and Thailand.

    going to holy land this Nov.. and Japan in June..  but the best Is my fishing trip to BC in mid may for monster bows on the fly !!! will send you pic's... :)

    That being said, years ago the airlines used to offer a "flight pass" allowing you to travel on the pass anywhere the airline flies and anytime.  They used to be around $15k so I'd imagine these days they probably run about $25k.  I'd buy one and use it.

     I would look into taking a cruise to CUBA ! It will run you less than 25k easy. We spent 5k . Always love traveling. We love cruising. The BEST way to visit multiple countries at the same time. Let me know if you ever need recommendations to which cruise line to take. Truly an experience.

    Garth McGinley I was in Istanbul a few months ago. Didn't feel unsafe at all, and loved it. It's one of my wife's favourite places. I wouldn't be worried.
