Best multi family books to read

Ive recently been reading up in multi family and larger apartment real estate spaces to invest in but I’m very perplexed at how to get into this space. I feel as if it’s the direction I’d like to go in the future. Anybody with loads of knowledge have any wisdom for me? What books are considered the best for reading to get me on the right track so that I become successful in this new venture? Any help is greatly appreciated!

- Rich Dad Poor Dad (not exactly commercial real estate but basically “the bible” in terms of mindset shifting for everyone starting in real estate investing, specially in multifamily real estate)

- The ABCs of Real Estate Investing. Ken McElroy

- The Perfect Investment. Paul Moore

- Crushing It. Brian Murray

- Best Ever Apartment Syndication Book. Joe Fairless

@Neil Henderson I guess I’m going to have to pick the book up. Seems to be a fan favorite! Thanks for the insight

@Mike Krieg I tried to join the webinar but the link just sends me to the mailchimp page and says appears to be missing? Am I not doing something correctly?

@Erik Schneider some great suggestions so far. I too highly recommend Joe's book. Another you may like is @Gino Barbaro book Wheelbarrow of Profits.

    Hi @Erik Schneider,

Since you have so many book recommendations, you may want a podcast recommendation. For multi-family, the "Old Capital Podcast" is excellent as well as "The Real Estate Guys."

    Cheers!

@Erik Schneider @Eloisa Gil Villafuerte I concur on The Real Estate Radio Guys. They even have an upcoming seminar The Secrets of Successful Syndication in Dallas next month.

Seems like you have a lot of recommendations on syndication. When you get further into your business strategy, I would recommend reading up on marketing. Specifically copy writing. It's something that is seriously lacking in this space and someone who can market themselves well will have a leg-up.

“The Complete Guide to Buying and Selling Apartment Buildings” by Steve Berges is really good too. I’d put that one towards the top of the list.

    @Erik Schneider

These are two good books to help you understand the business model behind apartment building:

    1. The Complete Guide to Buying and Selling Apartment Buildings
    2. Multi-Family Millions: How Anyone Can Reposition Apartments for Big Profits

If you want to learn more about the syndication business model, Joe Fairless has a great book:

The Best Ever Apartment Syndication Book

Those are all great recommendations! I would also suggest 'Wheelbarrow Profits' by Jake & Gino, and two of them by Richard C. Wilson - 'Raising Capital' and 'Multi-Family Investing' - these are both very short, concise, and to the point. And Richard Wilson is an absolute stud! I have been following him for some time and while he isn't necessarily known as a multifamily guru, he is very heavily focused on raising capital from single family offices and I have been blown away impressed by his business acumen and strategies.
