Which conference is the Best Multifamily Conference?

Hello BPers ,

As we all know this game is a relationship game, and one of the most common ways to do that is by attending conferences. I’ve notice there are quite a few that are held all throughout the year by some of the big names in this space (Michael Blank, Dan Handford, Rob Khleif, etc...).

Wanted to ask you all which multifamily/apartment investing conference have you gotten the best return out of , or has added the most value to you and your team?

There are so many quality multifamily events out there, it really comes down to what you're looking to get out of it.

I believe the biggest meeting of the year is the NMHC annual meeting usually held in January and alternatives which coast it is held on (Orlando or San Diego typically). It is attended by the biggest players in the multifamily space (owners, brokers, lenders, service providers, etc). I believe it requires a membership which is in the range of $10k last time I checked.

However if you're looking for more educational content, network with peers, raise money, etc there are better events out there including all that have been mentioned.

There are many great events but choosing the best depends on what your goals are for attending. I've been to the Best Ever Conference each year and highly recommend it (I also have a discount code if anyone wants it). Prices have gone up this year, but the caliber of people there will rise along with it.I host the Midwest Real Estate Networking Summit and our next event is May 16 and 17. This is not exclusive to multifamily, but we do have a large multifamily audience and network of speakers. This is geared towards Midwest investors.Jake and @Gino Barbaro do a great event. I have not been able to attend personally, but have heard great things from many others.

@Todd Dexheimer just hosted his Northstar event to strong reviews.Adam A. Adams has informative events throughout the year with a great list of speakers.  I have not been to Michael Blank's event, but have heard there is great networking available.

Then there are more commercial/industry events like NMHC and IMN, which are great for connecting with brokers and institutional players.

I have a hard time paying big money for an event plus the airfare and hotel. I know it is all tax deductible but there are so many events that the costs add up.

I enjoyed Ultimate Partnering in Boston over the summer.

Rod Khleif in Baltimore was the best event that I have ever been to.

Next year I am looking at possibly doing Rod in LA in Jan.

Best Ever in Colorado in Feb.

Maybe a Jake and Gino.

MFIN in Boston.

Ultimate Partnering in Boston.

Raising Money in Colorado.

Following. I recently went to the IMN in Atlanta, that was a high quality event, in terms of the people participating as well as the many panelists. But I haven't been to many other MF events.
