Has anyone here gotten a fire hydrant installed? Wanted to get some rough estimates.

How much does it cost to install a fire hydrant that is at least 1,000 gpm fire flow?

why do you ask?

If your in development its very common for the city to ask for them on a new street or in front of a new project. I install 2-3 a year.

In my area around $5k-$6k. Call the local water company they will tell you.

$5000 +/- for replacing an existing one. Make sure the installer is NFPA. Check with the FD too...

oh, that's right. my area is so old and already developed, that never considered that.
