Payment for real estate investment team time?

I've been asked to help a real estate investment team. They pay 7% for dispo and 7% for project management. Right now, my role is to photograph and tour the homes they're interested in, and managing a few things and doing side jobs. When I was looking at houses, they originally offered to pay $200 per home that I toured. I toured three and they have now told me $200 per is too high. Curious what people typically pay for this kind of work? An hourly wage?  $50 an hour? Any guidance appreciated!

$200 per tour is completely reasonable, especially if you're also taking photos and reporting back on condition. That's not just your time \u2014 it's your gas, your knowledge reading the property, and the liability of showing up somewhere on their behalf.

The fact that they tried to walk it back after the work was done is a red flag about how they operate. If $200 is now "too high," that's a negotiation tactic, not a fair market correction. I'd push back and hold your number or at minimum get a clear written agreement on rates before doing any more tours.
