Transitional Housing

5 Replies

Hi bigger pockets family. My name is James and im interested in finding tenants for my properties through transitional housing helping homeless, or recent parolees, or mentally disabled people. I have a few properties but dont know where to find these types of tenants. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have properties in Ohio.

Hi James

Call around to all the local nonprofits in the area that serve these persons. Basically Google "Cincinnati + nonprofit + housing".

Also, if you search biggerpockets forums for "profit nonprofit" you will find a wealth of info :-)

James, are you a member of Cincinnati REIA? If not, there is a meeting tonight at 6p open to the public. Once you become a member you are eligible to attend the subgroup meetings. Two of them that may interest you are Wholesaling and Landlords. The group leader for the Landlord subgroup is an excellent resource for the information you seek.

Take care,

@James Dunn

 Just to echo what @Connie H. said, check out the Cincinnati REIA. While you're there, ask around for Ross, he is already doing what you are trying to get started.

Thank you very much for the info i just moved to cincy so im not a member yet but i will be very soon.
