Has anyone used or heard of Trex Samson private lender?

I have been contacted by someone that says they are a lender with Trex Samson. She had her name as Shirley Samson. She supplied their company id in NV. So I went ahead and researched and there is a company in NV with this name but expired 10/31/15 but that could just be paperwork. I looked her up on BP and it said profile removed. I sent an email asking why and have not received a response yet. But it was listed under companies when I looked the first time. But when I looked the next day it was gone!!???? I can't find anything online except Linkedin profiles. Well Trex Samson (the person) is listed twice one as an older man and one a younger one which could be a JR. but odd on education the same info is listed on both. There is one lady listed as a lender that looks legit. However, nothing on Shirley Samson. What she is offering sounds great. It may be one of those things that are too good to be true. Just wanted to see if they had contacted anyone else and if you had worked with them?

I recently talked to Trex Samson. According  to him, his middle name is Shirley.  I called the Nevada SOS and was told that his business license is in default.  I don't know if he is legit or not. I became suspicious because his business is in CA, license in Nevada (many businesses license in Nevada) but he wanted me to wire $1875 cash only in PpI(mortgage insurance) to an account in VA.

STAY AWAY FROM THAT CRIMINAL! I was given the contact information of Trex Samson, LLC, as a private money lender. I had been working with him, trying to get a $60,000 loan to acquire and flip a property. After sending several payments for taxes and miscellaneous fees, totaling US$15,180, and after having gotten a written guarantee that the loan was approved and that I would NOT need to submit any additional payments or else he would reimburse me all of my money within 48 hours, he came back to me asking for an additional $6,000 payment. Since I had no more money,this individual "negotiated" with me a last fee of US$ 2,000, which I sent, too, bringing the total to US$ 17,180.00. Since the loan was never processed, I enforced the reimbursement clause, needing to pay an additional $1,500 in "legal fees"., Bringing now the total money I had transferred to him to US$ 18,680.00 That was back in November 16. I still have yet to hear or read back from him. He since appointed another person by the name Jim Anderson to process my refund. This new individual is now requesting an additional payment of US$ 800 in order to process my refund and mail it to me.

I received a similar email. Definitely sounded like the person found me on BP. The grammar on the email alone was enough for me to become suspicious. Great help guys.

It sounds like you and I both came to the same dead end. I've just received an email from them entitled ''lending inquiry via biggerpockets'' . If you attempt to reply the email address goes from a gmail account, which it was sent from, to an outlook account. Scammer.... I switched their outlook address and replaced it with their gmail account and said no thanks.

Stay away from originators for "private" lenders, search BP for lender scams.

Not saying Trex is a scammer.

If you don't know Trex, then he is not a private lender, he is a hard money lender if he solicits loans.

If the terms sound too good to be true, they probably are!

Stick to lenders you don't have to get a private investigator for. :)
