Investors should avoid investing in western PA

I experienced a very hostile environment for investors in western pa therefore I would advise everybody who thinks about investing there to think twice or even three times before making a decision on investing in this region

OP is referring to the entire western part of Pennsylvania. Clearly you will not find a single intelligent individual or any available deals in all the counties listed above. Thanks for the heads up!

    @Chris K.

This is one of the reasons of power of attorney in Germany mostly given to family members so they can handle everything if one person is not able to handle his stuff due to illness or something other like death... even after death this person this person has the ability to handle the will of the person who gave power of attorney

And of course we have this for going business an owner of a company mainly give a limited power of attorney to a high ranking employee so the company can be run in his absence

I made an appointment with the lawyer to avoid missunderstandings I just dont understand why for exsame a se of a property has to be notarized even though power of attorney was granted

This is really hilarious.  Some guy, who apparently lives in a foreign country, shows up with a piece of paper purporting to authorize him to sell a deceased person's property.  No probate case has been opened.  Nothing seemingly evidences that this "power of attorney" is genuine.  The realtor is (properly) skeptical.  The realtor, along with 2 million residents of Western PA,  is castigated as racist and stupid.

If you believe this one, I have a hoard of gold waiting to be shipped to you for a small advance payment to my Swiss account . . . .

So? You still don’t know what your doing if your complaining about the little things.

And $2m in RE isn’t something that impressed me. Sorry I’m in nyc. A condo is $2M.

And I’ll point out again, everything you stated in your OP means you don’t know much about RE. Owning $2m in RE doesn’t mean you know much in RE. I’ve met clients who have $50+M in RE that know absolutely nothing about it.

I would have to be a drooling idiot and completely ignorant of the facts of history to label every modern German a racist.

If you think western PA is hard, don’t bother with all the primary markets in America.

keep in mind that in most countries Notary means something completely different than here in the US were a notary is nothing special.. A notary in other countries has the basic training of a lawyer hence they dig into the transaction more than our notaries in the US who simply are saying via your ID that who signed the document is the same person..  Nothing more nothing less.. that could be were he is getting hung up on why real estate can transact as a buyer without notary.

In fact notary is not necessary on any document for a buyer in most jurisdictions in the US.. title companies sometimes want their CYA stuff notarized by buyer but its not the law.

I buy a lot of real estate and like I said its not required.

so maybe that Is the confusion..

".....it is a dying region the demographic situation is serious lots of old ppl...." Tobias Stoll

    What's wrong with "old people?"

I realize you prefer to gentrify that area of Pennsylvania, but stop discriminating against "old people."

All -- I'd advise us just to let this sleeping dog lie. This guy came here seeking validation and didn't get any, and now he can move on. Hopefully he learned something from this exchange, and hopefully some of us did too. Move on with our lives :)

I agree with Joe. Sometimes we post something and don't realize the type of responses that might come of it. (I'm certainly guilty of it). I'm sure he he has wnough feedback and can make the decision for himself now.
